Meghan Concheri is originally from Boston and New York, and spent fourteen years on the West Coast exploring San Diego's coastline with a blanket and homemade snacks in a backpack. Pure Bliss Picnics grew out of that in the summer of 2022. They build their own tables and do their own catering.
For a proposal you turn up to a picnic that's already waiting: plush seating, a boho table, flowers in the colors you asked for and a chalkboard with your message on it. At Sunset Cliffs the gear is hiked in to one of several quieter spots, which makes for a simpler setup than the ones on the beach. Their site gives directions right down to the porta-potties at the top of the trail (park in the lower lot on Cornish Drive, and it's about two minutes from there). If you're uneasy near the drop, propose from the back side of the picnic.
The camera add-on is worth the extra over the phone one, mostly for Coronado, where the photographer waits in the dunes behind the tent and works closer once things start. A few steps in front of the tent rope and the sunset is behind you with nothing in the way.
