Hoami, pronounced Hwah-me, named Dear Darling after love letters and the small gestures that remind people they're loved. Surprise proposals lead the business, with engagements and lifestyle sessions alongside, and the work mostly happens in golden light along the coast, from Sunset Cliffs and Coronado up to Del Mar and Torrey Pines.
The package includes a planning consultation and help with the location, and it lets you choose whether Hoami stays out of sight until you ask or is there openly as part of the plan. After the yes comes a short session as a newly engaged couple, partly candid and partly guided with prompts. Hoami's FAQ says most couples start out feeling awkward, the guys especially, and are surprised by the end how natural it felt. The style leans toward wide frames with plenty of landscape around the couple.
On the beaches where it's offered, the roses are the add-on worth having. Three dozen long-stem roses are hard to get onto a beach without giving the game away, and Hoami sets them up for you. There's a drone add-on too, for five or more photos from above.
