Ash traveled through more than 30 countries, and once hitchhiked across the country, before New Orleans became home. She's been a professional photographer for more than a decade and is a queer mom of two. She's also in a few Mardi Gras krewes. Her site goes out of its way to say that couples of any kind are welcome without having to explain themselves.
Booking starts with her form, giving a date and whatever you know so far, then have a call if it helps or skip it, and the deposit and contract go through a client portal. When the moment comes she waits near the spot like someone taking in the view, which is how she did it at Artillery Park above Jackson Square, and afterward takes you both off for photos with some light direction. Film can be added, Polaroid or 35mm, and so can flowers or champagne if you need someone to set the scene.
The Botanical Garden is the spot to ask her about. There's shade on hot days and it's usually not crowded. You'll need the garden's photo permit, which you can buy as you walk in.
