My girlfriend and I had been living together for about 18 months.

The night started out with us ordering in Chinese food and curling up on the couch together to watch TV. About a 1/2 an hour after we had got done eating, he suggested we get into the hot tub.

Ever since we graduated from Duluth we made it a tradition to go back every year for a visit. This time it was for my birthday and the weather was unusually warm for mid-November.

It was a balmy Friday night, October 28th, 2005. After a hectic week of social engagements, the couple opted for a quiet Friday night at home, the first in about four months.
