Airport Surprise

I was arriving into Sea-Tac airport on a business trip from El Salvador. I had just barely landed and he called my cell phone to ask if I had departed the plane yet. I said no, we have just landed and I will be a few minutes. About 10 minutes later I get another call asking where I was at and I explained I was still making my way to the baggage claim area. Little did I know at the time, he was trying to time his proposal. He had his brother waiting next to him with the video camera ready so when I got off the escalator it would be caught on tape. So, unbeknownst to me as I approached the top of the escalator I seen Nick holding a big white sign saying 'welcome back'. I kind of looked away for a second to step aside from the other people getting off the escalator and when I looked back at Nick he had flopped the sign over and it said 'Carla, will you marry me'. It was one of the most unexpected and sweetest things he could have done. Out of shock I initially asked if he was serious and then I followed it up with a 'yes'!!! Our wedding date is set for August 2nd, 2008.
