Hello I am planning to propose on the 6th of February on our 2nd anniversary, I have already booked the place its the same place we went to last year only I've booked the best room they have a little cottage on the grounds of the hotel. So I'm torn between a few ideas 1) Ask the hotel to put us in the wrong room to start with then pretend to go down and sort it out and get them to ring her in the room and tell her where to go or even just go missing and leave her notes to try to find me and I will be waiting in our real room on one knee
2) There is a woodland behind the hotel with a lovely waterfall in it so I could maybe blindfold her from her house without her knowing the hotel is booked and get to the park and lead her to the waterfall and when she removes the blindfold i'll propose, the only thing that could ruin this idea is the weather.
3) I would love to suprise her by arriving on horseback and whisking her away but for one I'm not a great horserider and also its a bit impractical
I can be very romantic when I set my mind to it and my proposal will be full of more than what's above I'll have lots of presents for her its just trying to work out what will work the best thats the problem.

Very Romantic Engagement

I really like all your engagement ideas! Just the fact that you are putting this much thought into it makes it truly romantic. I like a combination of idea 1 and 2 myself. Although, I'm wondering if the blindfold might give away the surprise rather than enhance it? Maybe you could tell her you were taking her on a picnic at the waterfall and then surprise her by whisking her away to the hotel after you're done. Or possibly check into the hotel, take a day trip to the waterfall, and have the hotel decorate the room with flowers and candles while you're gone. Oh the possibilities for romance are endless!

It's also nice that you are planing to propose in a romantic setting that has some sentimental value (since you went last year as well). My husband and I return to the area we got engaged in every year around our anniversary. It's just fun to have that special place to return to!

You'll have to let us know what you do! I wish you the best on your romantic engagement....
