Rome Engagement

I will be getting engaged in Rome in late June 2006.I have never been out of the country.Any ideas on where or how in Rome to make this special?

What could be any better!? The fact that you're in Rome itself is pretty special if you ask me! :-)

I've never been there myself, but I did find a couple websites that offered some info on Rome:

  • Romance In Rome - Not that robust, but it might offer some ideas.
  • Romantic Places - Mostly just a listing of places.
  • Quality Guide - Frommers always has quality information. We used one of their books when we went to Maui for our Honeymoon. Maybe the Walking Tour section or the Favorite Experiences might be helpful?

Another idea might be to ask the concierge at your hotel if they have one? They are usually locals and will have great insight and ideas.

You'll have to be sure to stop back and tell your story letting us know how things went! Make sure you grab a picture of the romantic spot...who knows when you'll be back!
