Where to Dine in London

London is packed with great restaurants, and whether you want traditional British fare, European cuisine, or something with a little more spice you can be sure to find something to suit your needs. Here are some great places to book a table during your proposal weekend.

• Clos Maggiore near Covent Garden is an excellent choice for a post proposal celebration as it has often been described as London’s most romantic restaurant. The delicious menu is rooted in classic French cuisine and the open log fire, muted lighting, and fabulous wine list make it a must on your visit to London.
• The Oxo Tower Restaurant on the south bank of the Thames, which is run by Harvey Nichols, has an intimate atmosphere, fantastic views and an innovative modern British menu.
• Scott’s Restaurant in Mayfair is a glamorous and exciting venue, specialising in seafood. If you don’t want a full dinner then simply check out their stunning champagne and oyster bar.
• The Ivy is an iconic London eatery with a retro chic interior and theatrical past, and is a popular celebrity hangout. Its location in the heart of the West End and its excellent early and late set menus make it ideal for a pre or post theatre dinner.
• Odette’s on Primrose Hill is set in a beautiful mid Victorian building, and has charming decor in the restaurant as well as a cosy bar and elegant outdoor terrace. The excellent menu is the work of acclaimed chef Bryn Williams.
• Rhodes 24 is Gary Rhodes’ London restaurant set in Tower 42, London’s tallest building. His traditional British cuisine with a modern twist, the modern decor, and the fabulous view make this an excellent choice.
